A natural leader with a wonderful attitude seeking a position where I can utilize skills, while contributing to the overall success of the company using clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Growing up in Richmond, VA I learned the importance of knowing and valuing the history of one's surroundings. I was taught from a young age to have pride in my own cultural history. Being Haitian sparked my passion for Caribbean history. As a result, I have a love and curiosity for African & Caribbean studies & hope to pursue a career in museum curation. I pride myself on being efficient in all aspects of any task or job given. I can type 40 wpm and use various data entry skills. Cultural Resources Management & Labor History Intern

• May - August 2024
• Investigating and documenting archeological and historical resources, including the processing, cataloging, analysis, and data entry of archeological materials.
• Assist with a variety of cultural resource management projects at Monocacy National Battlefield and throughout the National Capital Region (as needed).
• Participation in projects implementing Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
• Research history of mid-20th century migrant workers to expand knowledge of labor history at Monocacy National Battlefield.
• Compose an annotated bibliography of African American migrant workers and labor history.
• Assist in developing interpretive concepts for new research on labor history.
• Additional cultural resource management activities include condition assessments of historic properties, archeological sites, monuments, cultural landscapes, records management, and museum collections management.
