Operate cash register scanning system to check out items and to receive payment for purchase made in a DeCA commissary. Manage change machines and ensuring proper amounts of cash and coins are available. Assisting customers by answering questions concerning prices, identification and location of items. Counting cash to prepare for an accountability report. Managing and assisting in self-checkout registers. Checking proper identification on customers that need to be 21 and over. Gathering and stocking shelves as needed to make sure all availability for patrons.
Responsible for POS register to have correct amount of starting money. Sell and work money order machine. Accept checks, cash in large amounts of money. Ensure proper ID from customers when picking up personal mail and/or parcels. Organize and sell promotional items in the lobby, scanning all delivered pieces, changing out old items for the newest. Compute end of day reports with all monies accounted for. Organize and distributed all types of mail to 36 carriers in the zip code of 23451. Gather equipment from postal trucks, and unload all mail to include parcels, letters and big flats. Trucks and mail are scanned on individual barcodes to input all data for reports at the end of the day. Memorized over 1,000 streets to be able to distribute to each of the 36 carriers for zip code 23451.
I am a retired Chief Mobility Warrant Officer in the United States Army. I served 21 years, and retired 1 March 2013. I retired out of Fort Shafter, Hawaii. I now reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I am from Brockton, Massachusetts.
In the Army, I coordinated and executed all movements of transportation. This included personnel, their flights, and all their equipment; which included rolling stock and containers. As well as movements for exercises and deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Most movements would be through air, or vessel. This was a total of up to 5,000 personnel with all their equipment. Counseled and mentored 6 Solders in my section. Accountable for millions of dollars of equipment.
