
I have developed core competencies in claims processing, medical claims processing, and interpersonal skills. I am passionate about helping customers resolve their issues and providing them with fair and accurate compensation. My goal is to always provide the highest level of customer service while bringing claims to closure. I have worked in all lines of insurance. I am very familiar with writing and reading contracts, and handling all levels of liability. I am currently pursuing a degree in law and national security at Regent university. I have spent time in the United States Army and speak several languages fluently. All of this gives me a very diverse and well-rounded perspective on human behavior and social issues which has made me an exceptional negotiator.
After spending a few months in Complex claims I transitioned to EIR in August of 2024. In this role my primary focus is to assess the severity of non-severe injuries, usually injuries that are soft tissue in nature and to settle them promptly. I have delivered exceptional customer service with a first offer response time of 5 days and a first contact resolution rate of 100%. Just last month I closed 17 claims on first call settlement offers while keeping my injury severity average at $1,500.00 and closing 31 of my 34 injury features, I recently held the highest injury closed feature per days worked at .85 settlements per days worked.
In this role I primarily handled first and third-party injuries. I also worked to resolve any disputed liability decisions. Additionally, I investigate uninsured motorist claims and work closely with our payment recovery team to resolve arbitration files. My responsibilities include obtaining medical documents and proper bills. Also Interviewing claimants and witnesses, taking recorded interviews, obtaining police reports and footage of the accident scene. I frequently review coverages and deductibles with policy holders all while Investigating questionable data/claims.
I also handled first party medical payments coverage claims working closely with attorneys to settle first party injuries.
In this role In this role I was subcontracted to different carriers and I worked closely with their SIU departments to determine the validity of claims. I investigated the theft of car part's, and stereo systems. In this role I learned how to handle various types of claims, including property damage and uninsured motorist claims.
As a human resources specialist I was responsible for providing support that affects Soldiers' overall welfare and well-being while assisting leaders with keeping Soldiers combat-ready and effective. In this role my job duties included but were not limited to; assisting on all human resource support matters. Overseeing all strength management & strength distribution actions. Being responsible for the readiness health and welfare of all soldiers.
