I have learned multitudes of life lessons from playing Baseball. I have been playing since I was six years old and have acquired many unforgettable lessons. Skills I have acquired were teamwork, problem-solving, good work ethic, taking criticism, etc.
Through my various years of being an Umpire for youth baseball games I have learned and been able to improve on many important life skills. Such as Communication when making a call and explaining it to the teams and my reasons for the call. Responsibility, ensuring that all coaches, players, and fans are safe from eachother and any elements on the field. Confidence, sticking with my call no matter the harsh comments or amount of pressure put on me.
Through the last few months of working as Maintenance team member I have learned and improved on more life skills. Including problem-solving, where I have to find solutions to problems involving torn up grass or broken machinery. Teamwork was another skill I have improved on working with multiple people to come up with plans on how to execute our tasks.
