Emergency Medical Care : Provide basic life support (BLS) and medical care at the scene of emergencies, including administering CPR, controlling bleeding, and managing shock.
Patient Assessment : Evaluate the condition of patients by assessing their symptoms, medical history, and vital signs to determine the appropriate course of action.
Transport and Care : Safely transport patients to medical facilities while continuing to provide care and monitor their condition en route.
Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance : Ensure that emergency medical equipment and vehicles are well-maintained, stocked, and ready for use.
Documentation : Accurately document patient care, treatments provided, and observations in medical records and reports for future reference and continuity of care.
Communication : Work closely with other emergency responders, medical personnel, and sometimes family members to relay information and coordinate care effectively.
Adherence to Protocols : Follow established medical protocols, guidelines, and laws to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the care provided.
