In my past work experiences, I have worked well within multiple team settings, ranging anywhere from a team of three to team of over 40. My mindset is to always make sure I'm doing my part for the team, because I never want to hold anyone back or impede someone from doing their work. While stressful situations are not ideal, when push comes to shove, I am always able to put the job first and approach my tasks one problem at a time. When dealing with customers directly I try to make the experience for them as easy as possible, making sure everything flows smoothly and that there is no confusion or stress on their part. - My current job has me schedule both new and returning patients for upcoming appointments
- I also call patients for reminder calls and reach out to doctor's offices whenever there are no therapy referrals on file
- When patients walk into the office, I'm the first face they see, so I try my best to make the experience as easy as possible for them
- It is a job where I feel I've made positive impacts on people's lives, with a lot of patients having told me they appreciate how easy I've made the experience for them
Medical Screener/ Processing Technician

- At Octapharma Plasma my main duties were to greet and screen the people who came in each day to donate
- This involved confirming their names and dates of birth, taking their weight, checking their blood pressure and temperature, and pricking their finger to test their red blood cell levels (hematocrit) to see if everything was within appropriate levels to donate
- I got to know quite a few of the regular donators pretty well and got on a first name basis with them
- Eventually I was trained in the lab, where I took finished bottles of plasma, dispensed liquid from the bottle to tubes for testing, scanned and recorded the samples for medical testing, and kept track of full bottles in the freezer for shipment
- Every day different sample types needed to be packaged and shipped, so it was my job to scan and keep track of which types of tubes needed to be packaged on any given day

- When Covid started I drove finished tax packets to customer homes and dropped them off
