I provide support for the Department of Commerce, Patent and Trademark Assignment Division.my task entail examining all new applications and mailroom documents accurately and in a timely manner in the Patent & Trademark Assignment System (PTAS) which consists of making sure cover sheet is legible, cover sheet must be signed and dated by appropriate officer or agent of the conveying party, the receiving party or parties must have a complete address listed on the cover sheet, the nature of conveyance also must be listed on the cover sheet, the appropriate fee must be paid, and the name and address of the party whom correspondence must be sent to be included as well as the property and or properties being transferred. Examination of Assigned documents to record change of names, mergers, change of address, security releases in a timely manner. My duties also consist of reading incoming mail, prepping, classifying and applying appropriate fees being charged using the FPNG finance system. Other duties includes indexing and reviewing microfilm of recorded patent and trademark assignment documents. Answering customer service phone using the ECC (Enterprise Call Center I-3 Client). Assist internal and external customers with status updates on their filing of an assigned document via Electronic Trademark Application System (ETAS) and Electronic Patent Application System (EPAS).

I have provided support for the Department of Commerce, Patent and Trademark Assignment Services Division, my task entails indexing of all new patent and trademark applications and mailroom documents accurately and timely into Patent and Trademark Assignment System (PTAS). Also, I performed duties relating to the work flow within the Assignment Services Division. Identify any type of document being processed insurance. The document is formatted properly for compliance with legal criteria and administrative regulations independently index all data and proper fields to ensure the correct format of entering data into the patent and Trademark automated system Global 360 (PTAS) database.

Prepare documents for examination, including reading sorting of incoming mail of patent and trademark assigned documents ensure a payment of statutory fees, formerly Revenue Accounting Management (RAM) now upgraded to Fee Processor Portal (FPP). Prepping, barcoding, scanning documents into the Patent and Trademark Automated System Global 360 (PTAS). Assignment documents are classified for recordation requirements. Reel Review is performed to ensure all pages of their assignment documents are obtainable for searching capability.

Investigate recordation status of Patent and Trademark documents using PTAS database and its search tools,( PTAS Query), ( Assignment Query) and AHD

(Assignment Historical Database) PALM and TRAM are also used when searching and investigating status requests.

Responsible for the Revenue Accounting Management (RAM) aspects of their assignment services application process as well as adjustments and add additional fee and refunds transactions for Document Services (DSD), Certification Division and Copy Fulfillment Section.

Communicate with internal and external customers, via telephone, email and facsimile regarding the application status along with Revenue and Accounting Management (RAM) transactions.

Effectively provide support and guidance to the internal and external customer by email and telephone using the ECC enterprise call center – I-3 Client. Assist external customers with status updates on their filing of an assigned document via Electronic Trademark Application System (ETAS) and Electronic Patent Application System (EPAS).
