Assisting in pharmacy operations, which includes:

• Facilitating prescription refills and over-the-counter medication requests for customers
• Assisting pharmacy staff in medication preparation and order fulfillment
• Processing customer payments efficiently using cash registers and card terminals
• Responding to phone inquiries, providing information on order status and pharmacy procedures

Caretaking of boarding & hospitalized animals, which includes:

• Conducting feeding, watering, and medicating of boarding and hospitalized animals
• Assisting with medical procedures including blood draws and vaccine administration
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of veterinary practice facilities
• Performing grooming tasks such as bathing and nail trimming for animals

Contributing to wildlife rehabilitation operations, which includes:

• Providing hands-on care and feeding procedures
• Conducting daily feeding, watering, and enclosure cleaning for rescued animals
• Facilitating transportation of animals to veterinary facilities for medical treatment
• Monitoring animal behaviors, intake, and output, reporting findings to professionals

Assisting in welcoming new students to the Virginia Tech campus/community which includes:

• Facilitating various Weeks of Welcome events to enhance new student integration
• Participating in orientation and training sessions to effectively support incoming students
• Communicating with and assisted new students and families during campus transition

Assisting in the CARE lab, which includes:

• Completion of IACUC training
• Completing collar changes on the shelter dogs once weekly
• Inputing data from collar changes

Maintaining the cleanliness of the BCM facility, which includes:

• Cleaning/dusting/sanitizing of entire BCM building
• Trash removal
