Richmond

Summary

Trilingual, impact driven, focused community strategist, liaison and relationship builder with over 25 years of experience successfully bridging gaps between marginalized, racially diverse communities and local government and law enforcement. I am proficient at leveraging my skills to facilitate dialogue, promote mutual understanding, and advocate for policies that address systemic inequities. I have developed and/or lead the execution of numerous initiatives that improved community safety, civic participation and equitable access to resources and fair treatment within governing systems. Multilingual experience across North America with NGOs, families and communities at the grass roots level, as well as corporate services, has garnered a unique perspective to social issues. Having spent the last 6 years within the Department of Juvenile Justice, I have been at the forefront of advocacy for juveniles and their families of all backgrounds. My success in creating and implementing community initiatives was recognized by the Montreal Police Department with the Excellence in Community Involvement Award.
