Brossman's Family Farm

From March through October, I would work six days a week for roughly 65 hours a week.
From the day after Thanksgiving to the week before Christmas, I would sell Christmas trees and other holiday decorations.
Every morning, I would set up the farm stand by bringing down all the fruits and vegetables on a pallet with a bobcat from our large walk-in cooler to the stand, and organize and sort through all the crates of food.
Every season, we would make many covered rows using various tractor attachments, into which we would then plant thousands of plants, hook up the irrigation to the plants, and set up a fertilizer macronutrient and watering schedule using electronic timers.
As well as field-grown vegetables, we also have huge greenhouses that we would plant hundreds of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and squash into, doing the same process of hooking up the irrigation to each plant and setting up fertilizer and watering schedules that would be adjusted during the season depending on what phase of life the plant was in.
I would manage the field hands, telling them what needed to be done that day, training them on the process of doing it right and doing it efficiently, as well as helping until the project was done.
I would manage the cashiers, making them aware of the new products we have, the varieties of food we offer, and the differences between the varieties.
Update the electronic cash register to reflect the new items and new prices, respectively.
Keep track of inventory and predict what will be needed to maintain a full, beautiful farm stand, as well as personally restocking the stand multiple times a day.
I made connections with the Amish in Pennsylvania and would make trips up there multiple times a week in a large box truck to either buy or exchange our surplus fruits and veggies for theirs that we were short on.
Being a farmer requires being a jack of all trades, and I have learned to be a proficient carpenter, plumber, IT specialist, and do some electrical work, but most importantly, I interface with the public very frequently.
Many other things were done on a daily basis, including picking the fruits and vegetables, and verifying that all the infrastructure was working properly.
