  • Serve as the primary attendance coordinator for the school using a variety of electronic systems. Serve as the primary registrar for the school, registering all new students, transfers, and exiting students and manage student files and records including cumulatives, report cards, and interims.
  • Manage all electronic student data maintaining accurate records for the district and running a variety of reports for the Principal and school district, as needed, using district student information software system.

  • Maintain communication between student transportation and school staff to ensure key information on bus schedules is relayed as needed.
  • Answer telephone, greet visitors, operate office equipment, copy and distribute letters, memos, flyers and other documents as needed.
  • Receive, sort and distribute interim reports, report cards, transcripts, and other documents as necessary.
  • Maintain files containing student cumulative records.
  • Prepare five year old cumulative files for microfilming and shredding according to guidelines.
  • Register new and transfer students and process withdrawals.
  • Request records from former schools; send copies of records and/or transcripts to other schools or agencies.
  • Complete data processing responsibilities and associated paperwork in a timely manner according to guidelines.
  • Operate a computer and maintain student files.
  • Assist students, parents, faculty and staff.
  • Deal calmly with parents and patrons when they are upset (either in person or on the phone) while being a good listener.
