Psychiatry            Sept. 2 - Oct. 8, 2024

• Gain insight in to the care of patient with chronic or acute psychiatric challenges. participate in the assessment of patient with possible dementia, depression and anxiety, using the standard assessment tools associated with each condition. Also, engaged in admission and evaluation of patient for possible admission or 24 hours observation.
• Participate in patient care through interviewing, documentation, and team discussions; assist in medication management, observe psychotherapy sessions, and contribute to multidisciplinary treatment planning.

Family Medicine:     Dec. 2nd - Dec. 27th 2024

• Conduct comprehensive histories and physical exams across the lifespan, manage common acute and chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, respiratory infections), and develop preventive care plans including screenings and vaccinations.
• Provide continuity of care by following patients longitudinally, documenting visits, counseling on lifestyle modifications, and coordinating referrals while participating in clinic workflow and team-based care.
• Deliver patient-centered care by addressing a broad range of concerns in outpatient settings, performing point-of-care procedures (e.g., vaccinations, basic dermatologic treatments), and tailoring management plans to individual, family, and community health needs.

Internal Medicine      June 26 - August 15 2025

• Assessed high-risk patients pre-operatively and adjusted medical therapies in order to promote more favorable outcomes. Followed these patients post-operatively.
• Cared for patients with gestational hypertension and diabetes on the Obstetrics ward. Encountered a rare drug interaction, which required a literature search in order to understand and treat the situation.

Cardiology         November 3rd - November 28th 2025

• Participate in patient care by following inpatients and consults, reviewing labs and imaging, documenting notes, and observing procedures (e.g., cardiac catheterization, stress testing) while contributing to rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary care planning.
• Perform focused cardiovascular histories and physical exams, interpret ECGs and basic cardiac imaging (e.g., echocardiograms) with supervision, and present assessments with differential diagnoses and management plans for conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, and ischemic heart disease.

Neurology              January 15th - January 30th 2026

• Conduct focused neurologic histories and exams, present findings to the team, and assist in developing differential diagnoses and management plans for patients with conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, movement disorder, and neurodegenerative disorders.
• Participate in patient care activities including reviewing imaging and lab results, documenting notes in the medical record, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams while attending rounds, case discussions, and teaching sessions.
• Assist in acute neurologic care by evaluating patients with time-sensitive conditions (e.g., stroke alerts), performing serial neurologic exams, and helping monitor disease progression and response to treatment while communicating updates to the care team.

Radiology             February 2nd - February 27th 2026

• Review and interpret diagnostic imaging (e.g., X-ray, CT, MRI) alongside radiologists, contributing to preliminary reads, correlating findings with clinical history.
• Assist in workflow by preparing patient histories, observing image-guided procedures, documenting reports, and engaging in case discussions to build proficiency in imaging modalities and radiologic-pathologic correlation.

Emergency Medicine     May 7th - May 29th 2026

• Assist with patient care by initiating basic interventions (e.g., IV placement, wound care), interpreting labs and imaging, documenting encounters, and participating in resuscitations, procedures, and multidisciplinary team coordination.
• Perform rapid, focused histories and physical exams in an acute care setting; develop prioritized differential diagnoses and initial management plans for undifferentiated presentations such as chest pain, trauma, and respiratory distress.
