Lead technical oversight and planner for DIA to transition and maintain $56M ~6k Pentagon staff from their legacy workstation platform domain to the world-class intelligence DTE/COE services that are provided by both NGA and DIA, being the #1 DIA/CIO IT priority project. Delivered joint implementation plans to ensure seamless migration of planned 2k users in FY25 and 4k in FY26. Orchestrated processes of IT deployment capabilities, identified the teams to conduct the IT desktop deployment, and guided the coalition to develop the customer communications plan. Lobbied for additional technicians and workspace to support the larger IT footprint that the DIA/CIO directorate will be responsible for. The platform deployment will offer a significantly improved IC platform standardization, enhanced desktop reliability, and world-class security compliance, allowing critical staff to produce defense mission/budget products for the SECDEF.
Raven Rock Mountain Complex (RRMC) disconnected operations and expansion of the DIA Enterprise Datacenter modernization – partnered with the CIO Plans & Programs Branch with the Joint Staff COOP/COG (continuity of operations/continuity of government) to embark on the expansion program supporting critical DoD Joint Staff/RRMC mission during a disconnected operations exercise/emergency while critical applications are assessable to outside customers across the Enterprise. Migrating key services out of the DIA HQ datacenter will also benefit long past due EOL/EOS datacenter storage by upgrading gear at both RRMC and Cheyenne Mountain, CO. Formulated a multi-division stakeholder coalition to identify Enterprise shortcomings and to establish an Enterprise Datacenter failover capability providing Intelligence clients with mitigated downtime in the event RRMC goes into a disconnected state.
Established several multi-agency IT coalitions to embark on a DTE/COE workstation platform transition pilot that multiple agencies were interested in. Led the technical exchange meetings that resulted in the kick-off of a 120-day, DTE COE pilot across four NASA sites, expanding the COE footprint across the IC. This pilot set the standard for how the DPO will do business with other interested agencies.
