Sharon C. Stull Oral Health Community impact Scholarship
I was honored to be selected for the Sharon C. Stull Oral Health Community Impact Scholarship, which provided me with the opportunity to take on a leadership role in organizing a community access day at the Chesapeake Care Clinic, a public health clinic that serves uninsured and underserved populations. Through this experience, I helped coordinate volunteers, schedule patients, and provide preventive dental services including cleanings and oral health education to 20 individuals who faced significant barriers to accessing care. This initiative allowed me to apply my clinical skills while also developing leadership, teamwork, and community outreach experience. Most importantly, it strengthened my commitment to serving underserved populations and reinforced my goal of working in community-focused and public health settings after graduation.
