• Good morning whom it may concern
• My name is Henderson Brathwaite if this name is hard to pronounce that is because it is foreign hailing from the Caribbean. Being from a lineage another country before I ever competed in the job markets of America I had to learn social and professional practices of another culture to effective communicate with people from it. I communicated so well that I began making animation films for competitions that motivated me to learn the business that surrounded my hobby of filmmaking. After deciding to go to the prestigious Pratt Institute, one of the top Art Schools in America, I learned I was adapt to being a Producer in the industry. The role of a Producer on a film project, or managing or producing any project, is being able to organize information for hundreds or thousands of co-workers, being malleable for changing requirements of the project on the fly, communicating information effectively to shareholders, financiers, location owners, property owners, the bank and even foreign entities as needed and the disposition to be a patient, professional person to work with.
• I found out at a very young age that I get positive fulfillment from helping others towards their goals and dreams. Being apart of something bigger than myself always gave me a sense of excitement and adventure that still persists today in my professional career. At companies and even when contracted I have been able to go above and beyond my duties to make sure projects are completed on-time and on-budget. Even in my private professional life at my own company, I have employed over 80+ people and paid salaries while booking locations, organizing food vendors, minding everyone’s allergies, providing transportation, coordinating shooting schedules, renting equipment, getting certified checks from bank and organizing tax paperwork with accountant for contractors all by myself and even arranging meetings with PR reps and learning programs myself for effective marketing of products after fully produced. I can take a project from an idea in the back of one’s frontal lobe and bring it into reality even better than could have been imagined.
• After that taking an internship and getting hired as a contracted production assistant I was permanently hired as an Associate Producer and Project Coordinator at the world’s largest animal rights nonprofit in all seven continents, PETA. At PETA, I learned to work with all types of time zones, translate languages, work with government agencies that the organization partnered with, manage celebrity teams that protect their famous images with ire, and the multiple personalities of the employees and contractors we worked with in haste. I was able to understand the workflow so well and effectively I was promoted to Junior Associate after 8 months. I am a smart worker, not just a hard one, I use my brain and heart to make the most effective decisions that will bring the company, and my co-workers close to their goals and I believe I can manage any project or human ego.
