I struggle to write this section because I am an entirely unworthy vessel of the Lord so please do not read any of this and consider it to be a brag about my abilities. My very best is nothing more than a filthy rag Isaiah 64:6.
I was saved in February of 2014, baptized a few months later, and began teaching preaching roughly in February of 2015. I was later ordained that year by Pastor Chad Lovejoy and Pastor Bobby Craig. While serving here for he first few years I primarily served in a youth pastor role. In 2018 I became a police officer and much to my regret I allowed work to control my life instead of the Lord. In January of 2023 I suffered an injury at work that would result in my medical retirement. Shortly after being injured at work my wife and I began to pour ourselves into the ministry of Victory Baptist Church. During the little more than a year that we continued to attend VBC we would see the church go from roughly 30 to 100. This was achieved from listening to the Lord and meeting people where they were. We had tons of events for the youth, for the adults, and for the community, We did everything from going to Kings Island to clothing drives to car washes to trunk or treats and more. Yet every single time we got together everyone understood it wasn't about the roller coaster, the costumes, or the food it was always about lifting up Christ. Simply put God smacked me around a little and reminded me that he is the main thing and I did my best to give that message to the church. During my time here I would approximate I have taught over 300 lessons and have preached over 100 sermons.
The Lord used my wife and I to lead a congregation of roughly 10 to over 40 over the timeframe of a year. We did this through prayer and putting feet under those prayers. We would pray for discernment, encouragement, and a burden to lead people to the Lord. The Lord continually gave me sermon after sermon regarding evangelism and in many ways the congregation responded. The church did not grow because I am a dynamic and charismatic evangelist. It grew because we picked up our cross and followed him. Growing a church is simple its just hard. Go into the streets and the lanes and when there is still room go out to the highways and the hedges. During my time here I have taught and preached every Sunday.
