Core Responsibilities:

• Maintain Autocad licenses.
• Maintain plotter paper and ink supply.

• Updating and maintaining templates, AutoCAD layers, and drafting/fitting standards, so that all of the engineers and Consultants are using the latest version of AutoCAD and our AutoCAD templates.
• Utilized Revit to inventory material for the Fulton Gasometer to be disassembled and reconstructed.
• Train new engineering specialist. teaching them our AutoCad standards so that all drawings are uniformed regardless of who designed it.
• Collaborate with other departments to fix Autocad software issues, increase their design process, assist with their projects, and assist with the purchase and installation of Autocad software.
• Collaborated on with the marketing Department to develop a Gas Works standards manual for marketing materials.
• Develop a multi-sheet map for the HPGM-1 HPGM-2 pressure test verifications.
• Worked on projects dealing with low pressure high pressure and intermediate pressure gas lines renewal projects and annual.
• Field verifications with our inspectors and contractors to get a better understanding of how things are actually put together in the field versus designing them.
• Established a relationship with our Autodesk vendor, which provided better training opportunities, increased software updates, reduced annual pricing on software, and general knowledge for our department and all city employees that utilize the Autodesk software.
• Recommended processes to monitor and maintain warehouse inventory based on proposed drawings
• Design machine shop drawings to be sent to manufacturers for custom designed components for HPGM gas manifolds and bypass systems.
• Coordinate with the construction department and gas inspectors to schedule site visits to get a clear understanding of construction and safety policies.
• Create tool palettes and blocks in Autocad that can be easily identified and quantified.
• Create title blocks in Autocad, that increased the amount of project linear footage per page, and minimized the amount of paper being used per project.
• Create new templates with updated lineweights, linetypes, xrefs, blocks, autolisps, and .IFP files.
• Create automated process to export Esri GIS shapefile data to Autocad, which increased production by a minimum of 80%. The export data from the GIS program, Autocad, Microstation, Adobe Creative Cloud, and/or .PDF files is used to create an accurate base in order to create construction/permit drawings for gas renewal, retirement, and new annual projects.
• Maintain drawing logs through Microsoft Excel, so that the Cad files to correspond with the proper work order numbers and drawing numbers.
