As the English Department Chair, my role involved providing instructional leadership, fostering professional growth among team members, and ensuring alignment of curriculum with state standards and school-wide goals. I collaborated with administrators and faculty to design and implement effective English Language Arts programs that promote high academic achievement, critical thinking, and literacy development. Responsibilities included mentoring teachers, leading department meetings, analyzing assessment data to inform instruction, and overseeing curriculum development and resource selection. I also serves as a liaison between the English department and school leadership, advocating for departmental needs, facilitating professional development opportunities, and promoting a cohesive vision for teaching and learning across grade levels.
