Built a successful career with the US military, performing in a variety of key roles such as Maintenance Manager, Repair Parts Petty Officer, Search and Rescue, Helicopter Crash and Rescue. Provided expertise in support of United Nations (UNITAS22) Experience highlights include:

Hull Maintenance Technician/ Leading Petty Officer (E-5)

In war-proven positions, provided leadership in a San Antonio Class Amphibious Landing Transport Dock (LPD) Mid-Atlantic Region, U.S. Naval Strike Group 2 assigned to LPD19 USS Mesa Verde. Mentored, trained and supervised 13 top-performing, dedicated Soldiers. Maintained accountability for over $3 million in equipment required for time-sensitive communications, surveillance / security and electronic warfare. Programmed, troubleshot and operated technologies, equipment and tools. Prepared detailed documentation and evaluations. Briefed and reported to high ranking officers and DOD civilians on a daily basis.

Selected accomplishments:

  • Trained over 75 personnel in the watch standing capabilities in main and auxiliary engineering spaces.
  • Performed time sensitive, emergency maintenance on critical equipment such as Main and Secondary Drainage Eductors, 22 Firemain MOVs, 112 Ballast Tank MOVs saving the US Navy $152,000 in contractor repairs, resulting in the successful score of 97.71% for Light Off Assessment (LOA).
  • Collaborated with foreign countries in different areas around the world in the development, repair, and replacement of equipment worth Millions of dollars.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, compassion and technical expertise while leading multiple maintenance teams during 15 months of combat operations. Successfully completed two tours of combat as a Supervisor.
  • After completing Gas Free Engineering School, provided safe entrance (SCBA) to over 100 IDLH confined spaces.
  • Responded to a significant Class Bravo fire as the Fire Marshal, resulting in the main propulsion plant NR.3 SSDG from becoming destroyed.
  • Educated 350+ Brazilian, Chilean, Peruvian Norwegian, French, British, Spanish, and Irish Navy on basic engineering, propulsion plant and other skills that were vital to security, protection and defense.
