  • QE Lead for the Order Insights application (Sales Manager)
  • Order Insights applications is an abode of all the finance applications coming through the Carmax.com site (Customers – buyers and sellers) and Order Processing site (Store managers and supervisors).
  • The UI for the Order Insights application is developed using .NET 6.0 with React.
  • Hosting and API services are constructed with the incorporation of Azure, .NET 6, and back end: Cosmos DB.
  • As a QE lead, I will be creating and maintaining a suite of automated test scripts in qTest for the UI using WebdriverIO with the Mocha framework, using Node.js as the platform, and with JavaScript as the programming language.
  • As a QE lead, I will be creating the test strategy and test cases according to the design and functional requirements of the Order Insights application, and I will document them in qTest for validation.
  • As a QE lead, I will be performing validations on the various APIs of the website using the Postman framework.

  • A new enhancement to the process for the client, where the client is looking to make progress in the world of consumer business with so many new products readily available in the market, where they can plug in these consumer applications to the existing applications or create new functionality with less complexity in order to provide the service to individual customers and also to the existing customers.
  • The existing applications are very old, and any changes or additions to the existing functionality are taking a very long time. Additionally, the process to validate all the applications is complex.
  • In order to address this issue, the client is coming up with a new strategy where they can use the existing RESTful APIs and, with the use of IIB (IBM Integration Bus) and MarkLogic (NoSQL Database), they want to integrate all the third-party consumers, like Member Central – a web application that provides member services – and also Salesforce – a web application that will play a major role in storing customer demographics data and routing calls to customer care representatives, as well as many existing applications. This layer is called the EIE (Enterprise Integration Engine), which will act as a single integration layer between existing client applications and third-party applications.
