I am a Security Forces Member in the USAF for 7 years. I have worked in multiple different positions within the Security Forces Field. I started out as a Response Member and responded to alarm annunciations, providing security for nuclear weapon assets and securing the area. After about a year I was an Alarm Monitor where I dispatched patrols to any alarm annunciations, monitored 100+ alarms within the respective area, conducting regularly scheduled tests, annotating and reporting any deficiencies.
I was then a member of the Standardization and Evaluations team where I would conduct tests with Security Forces members to ensure members were qualified for the position. Additionally I was a member of the Wing Inspection Team where I was the SME for the Alarm Monitor and would evaluate them during Exercises. As Standardizations and Evaluations, our section monitored any deficiencies within the unit and periodically conduct checks to ensure standards were still in compliance.
In 2021 I was moved to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland where I started again as a Patrolman where I would ensure base security was maintained by identifying members at the Installation Entrance, as well as on the Flight Line where POTUS, VPOTUS and other International Leaders would regularly land and take off out of.
I was then selected to become a part of the Training Section where I was tasked with training other Security Forces members on annual requirements such as Arming and Use of Force. I became on of the primary instructors for Tactical Combat Casualty Care where I instructed members apart of the National Capitol Region, to include the Pentagon.
