Most of my experience was in manufacturing and in the automotive industry as an assembler to lead inspector. That is until 12 years ago when I moved from SC to my birth state of VA. This is where I took a temp position as a receptionist at for a Construction Company. This great opportunity led me to working with some amazing people. I worked as a temporary at the front desk. Responsible for welcoming and greeting guests-visitors answering phones and transferring to the appropriate person . Along with assisting the office manager. Such responsibilities as keeping office supplies stocked, scheduling any office maintenance and helping to schedule transport of company fleet vehicles to out of state projects. The senior accounting employee saw potential in me and started giving me duties to assist in accounts payable. I performed these duties for most of 2014 but left for a short period to take another position so that I may acquire benefits. After just a few months, I was contacted by the office manager at my previous employer to offer me a permanent position with salary if I would come back, continue to be the face of the front desk, continue the responsibility I had as a temporary, as well as additional duties. Duties consisting of what I previously had along with monitoring, requesting and entering Certificates of insurance from subs that would be assigned to a project along with obtaining a W-9. Processing overhead billing invoices, managing company fleet fuel cards, receipts as well as reconciling statements and managing the company cell phones. Creating spreadsheets, trouble shooting etc. I accepted and became a full time employee in April of 2015. Shortly after, I not only continued the previous stated duties, but was tasked with the processing of several projects/managers in the processing of invoices pertaining to those projects. During that time, I too took on the responsibility of managing the company credit cards. Obtaining, entering, and creating each employee's expense report. I would also like to mention, I was also active in volunteering outside of work , volunteering with the food bank, as well as the fight against cancer with the relay for life.
