This past semester, I studied abroad at the University of Oxford through a George Mason University program, where I gained hands-on experience in Python programming and completed advanced coursework in Finance and Leadership. This experience broadened my global outlook, refined my critical thinking, and allowed me to adapt quickly in a fast-paced academic setting. Prior to this, I worked as a Work-Study Student Mentor for the College Steps Program at Northern Virginia Community College, supporting students with disabilities through academic coaching, social engagement, and daily routine assistance. My role as a Peer Mentor and English Teacher further strengthened my interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Across all of these experiences—whether working one-on-one with students, analyzing business problems, or navigating cross-cultural environments—I’ve developed a strong foundation in mentorship, problem-solving, and adaptability that I bring to every professional challenge.
Throughout high school, I was an active member of the debate team for four years, during which I won several awards at regional and national competitions. This experience taught me how to think critically, communicate effectively, and remain composed under pressure. I learned how to analyze complex arguments, present ideas persuasively, and engage in meaningful dialogue—skills that continue to serve me in both academic and professional settings. Whether I'm leading a group discussion, advocating for student needs, or presenting data-driven solutions in business contexts, my debate background has instilled in me a strong foundation in public speaking, research, and structured thinking that I carry into every opportunity.
