- Primary duties include instructing Container Inspector Course, aiding DoD in preparation of hazardous material shipment, and coordinating Multi-Agency Strike Force Operations with Coast Guard units around the U.S.


Instructor with the Container Inspection Training and Assistance Team (CITAT). CITAT trains aspiring Coast Guard container inspectors and other government agencies how to properly and safely inspect intermodal containers for dangerous goods/hazardous materials consignment and container structural components. Also, as a subject matter expert, assists Department of Defense military branches prepare for upcoming deployments and their shipments containing hazardous materials.

- Primary duties were inspecting regulated facilities for safety and security compliance, inspecting intermodal containers for dangerous goods/hazardous material regulatory compliance, and examining foreign freight vessels for safety and security regulatory compliance.


Utilized vast knowledge of safety and security regulations following Hurricanes Irma and Maria expediting the reconstitution of all 22 of Puerto Rico's ports were able to operate properly to begin receiving aid to the devastated island. Furthermore, attended a European Commission Tabletop Examination in New York where he discussed facility inspection procedures utilized by Sector San Juan with inspectors from France, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, and Romania reinforcing uniformity across the Coast Guard and provided other countries with best practices.
