Melissa Gliner

As a Senior Health Policy, I lead the Surveys Branch of the Chief Data and Analytics Office at the Defense Health Agency. As branch lead, I am instrumental in overseeing survey operations for worldwide inpatient and outpatient care, specializing in data collection, analysis, and the development of key findings. My work spans crucial areas such as beneficiary experience, patient safety, and Congressional reporting, providing essential insights to inform healthcare policy and practice.

As a Health Systems Specialist at the Office of the Army Surgeon General, I analyzed health systems data, including workload, finance and patient experience surveys. I represented the Army Surgeon General on multiple tri-service workgroups, to include the Valuation/Efficiency workgroup, the BRAC planning group and the Survey Workgroup. I queried and analyzed data from multiple Military Health Systems, such as the Medical Data Repository and the M2 (an adhoc system from the Medical Data Repository).

As a Graduate Research Fellow at the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), I conducted statistical analysis on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). This included item analysis, reliability and validity testing of alternative instruments, and monitoring of discrepancies.
