Work History

Logistics Management Analyst 1

Huntington Ingalls Industries
Virginia Beach
05.2023 - Current
  • Company Overview: Mission Technologies
  • Website: Not provided
  • Using standard supply regulations, policies, and procedures, audit and warehouse material inspection compliance programs, I ensure all Key Supporting Documentation (KSD) are submitted to the transaction records in a timely and effective manner to maintain Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance while performing causative research and corrective actions for material discrepancies in both Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Configuration Management Professional (CMPRO) while also participating in inventories and continuous improvement initiatives
  • I ship and receive assets from ESR's (Equipment Shipping Requests) for the Chamberlain Project and other projects alike
  • If the ESR either involves me receiving or shipping items to one of many military sites around the world, I craft the DD1149 (DoD Requisition and Invoice/Shipping document)
  • All of the pertinent data contained in the DD1149, the shipping information needed (address, POC contact info, method of shipment, and an itemized list of what's getting shipped/packing slip) is documented and audited for accuracy
  • Then, I make a FedEx shipping label for each of the items depending on how many boxes are being shipped or received
  • I provide excellent customer support by effectively communicating with all internal and external stakeholders and promptly assisting and responding to all inquiries by giving 'head's up' to the receiving POC's all of the pertinent information regarding the shipment including the tracking number, address, and estimated delivery time and date
  • For even more personalized customer service, I accomplish material management and distribution operations while ensuring compliance with all applicable local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulations, policies and other applicable requirements by making local deliveries using our company box truck and returns to our warehouse and by making entries are made into DPAS for 100% accuracy
  • I have extensive experience with the daily operations and the standard supply regulations, policies, and procedures, audit and warehouse material inspection compliance programs because I verify unclassified items shipped to our warehouse from FedEx, UPS, DHL, and R+L Carriers that are from our vendors: Cisco, Dell, Thundercat, Collins Aerospace, Braxton-Grant Technologies, Monoprice who are contracted for the NCTE (Naval Continuous Training Environment) and LMON (Live Missions Operations Network) during the normal work day
  • As the lead database manager (DBM), I ensure compliance with all applicable local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulations, policies and other applicable requirements with new incoming items delivered to our warehouse, I craft and print a new procurement Excel spreadsheet using JIRA and chronicle all required information with my signature and date on the packing slip that comes with all delivered items
  • Servers, firewalls, desktops, monitors, etc
  • For the NCTE and LMON require special handling instructions to tag them with unique identifying stickers with a specific number that ensures ease in the tracking in our database called Remedy
  • I am the lead DBM for a concurrent database (Confluence) that guarantees 100% accuracy and accountability with every electronic asset received
  • I conduct an annual inventory each fiscal year on every asset in the entire warehouse
  • The warehouse consists of 40 rows each with 6 rows that are 3 stories high with each spot able to hold enough space for a 48" x 40" wooden pallet with total warehouse inventory worth approx
  • 20 million USD
  • I am responsible for the audit by using an Excel spreadsheet to verify that every electronic asset (classified and unclassified) for the NCTE and LMON contracts is in its correct shelf location as shown in our database (Remedy)
  • I assist with proper warehouse management (maintenance and upkeep) ensuring compliance with all Federal and State safety regulations including the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970
  • I ensure the warehouse is a welcoming and safe environment by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness through daily sweeping and by making sure every asset in the warehouse is stowed safely on the shelf so that it does not present a hazard to employees or visiting customers
  • At the end of every workday, I am responsible for the security of the building and the US Government (USG) assets by locking the warehouse and by ensuring the security system is armed
  • Committed to superior customer service, I volunteered to build approximately 50 racks for PDU's, Servers, and Thin Clients for the refurbishing and grand opening of Hefti Hall the premier synthetic training facility onboard Dam Neck that provides pre-deployment training and certification to east-coast USN Carrier Strike Groups (CSG) and USMC Amphibious Readiness Groups (ARG/MEU)
  • I am the designated lead for performing causative research and corrective actions (audit) for material discrepancies in the Fury Project using both Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ER) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Configuration Management (CMPRO) while also participating in inventories and continuous improvement initiatives
  • This continuous improvement initiative required knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards and procedures for conducting financial compliance in Federal laws and standard supply regulations
  • I ensure all Key Supporting Documentation (KSD) are submitted to the transaction records in a timely and effective manner to maintain Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance and to ensure superior customer service to our prime client, the USMC onboard MCAS Cherry Point
  • Having no formal training, I self-taught the intricacies of the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) which required me to build the KSDs for 49 unclassified electronic assets (servers, firewalls, amplifiers, Eaton UPS, antennas etc.) that had incomplete or missing documentation and were awaiting transfer
  • In accordance with SECNAV 5200 KSSD and the HCE (Historical Cost Estimate), I develop all documentation (signed packing slip, quote, itemized invoice, purchase order, and a signed/itemized DD1149) for each asset then determined the proper valuation of the 49 assets by applying a Consumer Price Index Screenshot (CPI) to account for inflation
  • Those assets that were missing their National Stock Number (NSN) were assigned one for a complete and accurate accounting in DPAS as verified by Supervisor's final audit just prior to shipping
  • For this effort, I was lauded by the MCAS Cherry Point (POC; John Creel) for excellent customer support through effectively communicating with the internal and external stakeholders and promptly assisting and responding to all inquiries and outstanding compliance with accepted auditing standards and procedures for conducting financial compliance
