Accomplishments

I earned a certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing in August 2014 and have maintained it since then through continuing education credits and working clinical hours with medical surgical patient populations. I have been nominated by patients, staff, and visitors for numerous Daisy awards since working at VCU. I was awarded a hospital wide Safety Star Award for recognizing a medication that was ordered erroneously that could have resulted in serious harm to the patient. I was nominated by my peers in 2025 for the hospital wide award during Week of the Nurse for Excellence in nursing Practice.
