Work according to NAVSEA MILSPEC standards while performing structural welds using GMAW (pulse and spray transfer) process in all positions and keeping track of work according to job packets. Role also includes use of various pneumatic hand tools as well as carb arc gouging. Welds are done to company standards for Visual (VT), Magnetic (MT) and sometimes Ultrasonic (UT) inspections.

• My job was to fit, assemble, and weld different custom components as specified by the provided drawings
• I would fabricate the assemblies myself with a variety of different tools and then weld them with both GMAW and GTAW on Stainless and Carbon steel as well as Aluminum

• My primary responsibility was to receive various different jobs and then assemble and weld them out according to the customer's specifications and plans
• This was done using both GMAW and GTAW on carbon and stainless steels as well as aluminum
• I also used hand tools such as grinders and drills as needed
• When other departments needed help I helped out with deburring parts, installing hardware with a hydraulic press, and assembling parts with a rivet gun
