RMA/Test Technician

  • Provide repairs for our Military defense contractors including (BAE, Lockheed Martin, RTX, General Dynamics, Boeing, Northrop Gunman)
  • Perform diagnostic and quality control tests on products, systems, or equipment to ensure they meet quality and performance standards
  • Used Linux command to output results of the system as a part of pre-diagnostics including (fans rpm’s, Temps, PSU voltages) also ran commands to get PCIe results, system summary’s, log information, HDD and USB detection.
  • Flashed BIOS, IPMI, Ethernet Cards, Graphics Cards.
  • Used Companies based testing through there network with PXE image and scripts including Windows and Linux systems. This includes Mem Testing, Throughput testing, Battery Testing, Sensor Testing, Burn testing, Vibe Testing, Functional Testing, Hardware Compare.
  • Perform upgrades according to source control documents. Performed Chassis swaps and rebuilt servers in accordance to the company’s Build Manuals.
  • Analyzing requirements and developing verification approaches to ensure that the final product meets all requirements
  • Receiving and logging products that are returned under the RMA process, and documenting all findings. They ensure the final disposition—repair, replacement, or credit—is handled according to company policy.
  • Documenting repair trends and tracking RMA statistics to report common failure reasons to management and engineering teams. This helps to improve product design and reduce future returns.
  • Performing electromechanical repairs on a wide range of ruggedized servers. This can include troubleshooting electrical circuitry, and making mechanical adjustments.
