- My experience as a grooming assistant/bather at a medical salon in a veterinarian hospital and doggy daycare/boarding facility allowed me to expand my skills and passion for animal care. This role allowed me to work with a diverse range of patients, from young and healthy animals to those with extensive medical conditions and special needs.
- In my position, I was responsible for a variety of grooming tasks, including baths, nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expressions, comb-outs, blow dries, and shave-downs. I played a critical role in supporting the completion of a full grooming service. Throughout my time in this role, I expertly handled dogs of various breeds, weights, and ages, sometimes lifting dogs as heavy as 150 lbs.
- Maintaining cleanliness was also a key aspect of my responsibilities. I took pride in ensuring that the grooming room was spotless before and after each grooming session, upholding the highest standards of hygiene.
- This position has been the most rewarding job I have held, as I had the privilege of transforming animals in ways that were often life-changing. For instance, I assisted in dematting animals who were in pain due to growths and skin infections resulting from overgrown and impacted hair. Witnessing them leave the salon looking and feeling rejuvenated was incredibly fulfilling.

- My services as a kennel attendant consisted of monitoring the health, safety, and comfort of animals in our care. The goal was to be their home away from home and ensure that pets being groomed, boarded, or treated by veterinary professionals receive the attention they deserve.
- My daily responsibilities encompassed walking, feeding, administering medication, and supervising playtime for the animals. Additionally, I undertook various cleaning tasks to maintain a hygienic environment. Should any staff members require assistance, I would always be readily available to lend a hand with grooming or veterinary tasks such as bathing, trimming nails, holding for a procedure, etc.
- In tandem with giving hands-on animal care, I upheld strong administrative duties such as prioritizing friendly and professional customer service, assisting with the intake and discharge of animals, and meticulously maintaining both written and digital records of all activities concerning the animals.
- This job was my introduction to woking for NVA and caring for animals and I found comfort and happiness in making animals comfortable and happy.
