Sophie (Shien Zhu)

I have strong communication and organizational skills, developed through rigorous academic pursuits and my experience in tutoring and coordinating youth programs. I’ve worked closely with parents and students to understand their needs, design personalized learning plans, and provide clear communication. My ability to listen, respond thoughtfully, and manage details makes me a reliable and enthusiastic candidate for the Customer Relationship Consultant internship.

Sports: 

• Fencing (1st place in woman's foil, North Carolina High School League, 2024) (2015-now), certified referee.
• Weightlifting (1st place in Shanghai Teen City Olympic, 2022) (2019-2022)

Leadership & Community Engagement: 

• I worked as a mentor in the STEM camp for middle school students, managing science activities of rocket launching program.
• I served in non-profit organization: Area Youth Ministry, regularly organizing Recharge events targeting middle and high school students and doing community services together at Sunrise nursing home.
• As a member of Math Honor Society Mu Alpha Theta, I'm currently mentoring a 5th and a 8th student 2-3 hours every Sunday, designing personalized course to help them improve math and English skills. Besides academic assistance, I listen to their daily life problems and support their mental health.
