- Software Developer on the Security Group Service Team within EC2 Networking, focused on both building new features and ensuring the availability and durability of EC2 Security Groups
- Led the design and execution of a high priority project based on AWS customer feedback regarding Security Groups. Architected a solution that integrated three control plane services, collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, TPMs, and Security Engineers. Throughout the project, guided and mentored other engineers while personally handling the more complex technical elements. My contributions were recognized for both leadership and technical expertise.
- A key contributor to a major project migrating Security Group data from a MySQL database to DynamoDB. I played a significant role in designing the initial DynamoDB schema, identifying migration phases, and resolving race conditions. Additionally, led the technical work in rewriting APIs to ensure data is routed to the appropriate data store based on the migration phase.
- Selected to join away teams for two separate projects due to my proven ability to deliver results efficiently and effectively under tight timelines. Uncovered significant technical complexity in legacy code that hadn't been updated in years. Despite the challenges, I developed a clear plan to tackle the project and successfully executed it.
- As an expert on-call engineer, I worked alongside junior engineers to help facilitate their onboarding and growth. Led technical calls during security incidents, triaged data corruption issues, led investigations, and prepared and presented Correction of Error documents at leadership meetings.
- Mentored 2 interns and numerous engineers early in their careers. Additionally I conducted interviews for over 30 mid-level engineers.
