  • Use CORIS system to enter/update court sentencing and conditions for probation, parole and post release supervision.
  • Upload court orders/plea agreements/restitution orders using OCRA system.
  • Utilize Virginia Courts Case Information (VCCI) to look up relevant information pertaining to probationer's sentence and conditions when court order is not yet available.
  • Correspond with Circuit Court clerks via email and phone to obtain court orders/documents not in OCRA, notice of referrals and for any clarifications needed related to probation/parole/post release sentences.
  • Complete unassigned investigations listed in CORIS, assign to appropriate staff member(s), and prepare necessary paperwork to complete investigation.
  • Prepare intake, Pre sentence report, and investigation files for Surveillance Officers and Probation Officers.
  • Run record checks (VCIN) for Surveillance Officers and Probation Officers.
  • Update sentencing/conditions from court documents and websites as needed.
  • Create investigations and correspond with other districts when information, documents, or other tasks are needed related to a probationer being supervised by our district.
  • Distribute incoming mail from shipments, couriers and postal deliveries.
  • Manage front desk area by welcoming and greeting probationers/visitors, assisting probationers with the check in process, having probationers fill out required paperwork for supervison. Provide Surveillance Officers information and paperwork to complete intake process.
  • Answered telephone calls and read emails to redirect calls and forward emails to appropriate personnel. Operated postage equipment to register weight of packages and apply meter postage of outgoing mail. Receive incoming mail and forward it to appropriate staff.
