Accomplishments

Through the last twelve years on City Council, working with other local governments we made significant changes in the Alleghany Highlands. One of the first things i initiated was a regional committee made up of the four governments in the Alleghany Highland. Through This group we created the first revenue sharing program in the State of Virginia. Out of this came the pad site in Low Moor. A multi million dollar project to promote Industrial Development in the Highlands. Giving us one of the larger industrial pad sites in Virginia. Another accomplishment was the joint school system. This project took many years to complete. We've seen it to completion and the results have been a state of the art educational system. Again one of the first joint school system in Virginia that happened without consolidated local governments. Over the last several years I've served on several sate and local boards. I can give examples if needed.
