Provide information and communication support to Police Officers, Detectives and Staff. Greet and provide customer service to the public and other agencies. NCIC/VCIN certified and multi-tasking with 3 or more incoming phone lines as well as a Motorola consolette to assist officers expeditiously with accurate information. Data entry, conduct warrant checks, license checks, vehicle and Criminal History checks. Enter, research and modify warrants, Epo’s . Our unit was also responsible for entering all reports such as missing person’s/runaway’s, stolen vehicles, guns, property etc.. Assist with quality assurance and purging files according to the Virginia Law Library.

As a Team Leader my duties also were to cross check paperwork, train new hires, address citizen’s complaints or concerns and have the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people

Continuously monitors alarms and dispatching systems; Dispatches Officers to areas according to needs or in an emergency in accordance with established procedures; Follows established procedures in making outside calls to fire, police, etc.; Answers telephone and radio calls; Maintains Security logs, journals and/or files/electronic records; Assists in orientating and training new dispatcher

To assist with administering DRUG/BREATHALYZER test to Probationers and Entering accurate results into the State of Nebraska data base

As a part-time Protection Officer one of my responsibilities was to provide a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors and staff. Secure valuables and property. Make hourly rounds and secure various buildings. Secure and log money/valuables in a safe. Escort trespassers or disorderly citizens off property. Release deceased persons to morgue or medical examiner with verified documents and monitor multiple security cameras.

Supervise 5-10 Officers and trained new corrections officers on institutional policies, procedures, and best practices for maintaining order within the facility.
