Certified law enforcement officer in the state of Virginia with 9 years of experience. Initially assigned to work in the Adult Detention Center ("ADC"), where I was responsible for the safety, security, and control of up to 100 inmates. Tasked with maintaining order, preventing escapes and following necessary safety procedures to establish security within the ADC. Monitored security cameras in secure control booth (jail and courthouse) while simultaneously operating elevators and opening doors. Wrote reports and documented incidents in accordance with agency policies.

Transportation Deputy 07/2018 - 07/2022

Worked as a team or independently to transport inmates to and from various locations needed for court, mental health reasons, doctor appointments and to prison. Transported civilians and inmates in mental health crisis throughout the state of Virginia. Transported juveniles in and out of jurisdiction per the interstate compact agreement. In the absence of the supervisor, assisted with managing and assigning trips within the team. Received a First Lieutenant coin (award) for my hard work and dedication to the section.

Skilled in the use of firearms, defensive tactics & non-lethal weapons; including baton, OC and taser. Certification in CPR, First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Ability to execute and serve warrants. Knowledge of how to operate vehicles, emergency equipment, radio, body worn camera, and CAD; ability to work under stress; ability to communicate clearly both orally and written. Successfully completed a polygraph, psychological and annual fitness exam.
