- Maintains consistency in food preparation and service to students and school employees.
- Maintains accurate food service records.
- Monitors refrigeration equipment by taking accurate temperatures daily.
- Orders cafeteria supplies and prepares food orders weekly.
- Sets up money for registers.
- Counts and balances funds received; prepares deposit and makes bank deposits.
- Prepares work details for next day, secures kitchen for next day and when not in use.
- Prepares work schedules, keeps time sheets.
- Prepares food production reports and temperature logs.
- Compiles daily reports, deposit slips and production /temp sheets.
- Identifies problems and subsequent solutions.
- Adheres to and enforces Food Service uniform and hygiene guidelines.
- Receives, checks, and signs for food delivered to school.
- Supervises cleaning and sanitizing of eating utensils, counters, and equipment.
- Coordinates efforts with school staff, faculty, and support personnel, which include (delivery, maintenance, security, custodial).
